Jimmy’s Eastside Diner is a fantastic spot. Parking was easy, which made the whole experience even better without the stress of searching for a space. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the generous portions they serve. The highlight for me was the banana pancakes. They were easily the best I have ever tried, perfectly fluffy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of sweetness. If you are looking for a great breakfast and a hassle free visit, this diner should be at the top of your list

As far as diners go it doesn't disappoint. Friendly staffand big portions. Biscuits were good, sausage and gravy were average. Hashbrowns and eggs cooked to perfection.

I visited Jimmy's East Side Diner for breakfast this morning, and overall, it was a solid experience.

The service was decent, which I didn't mind since it was 7:30 AM—nobody's really high energy at that hour. The portions were generous, the prices were fair, and the food came out incredibly fast.
While the place itself is a bit worn down and could use some sprucing up, the quality of the food made up for it.

I’ll definitely be back for more breakfast!

Jimmy’s Eastside Diner is a gem! My mom and I had a wonderful brunch here, and the experience was delightful from start to finish. The staff is incredibly friendly, and you’re greeted with uplifting energy by Jesse at the front counter. Once seated, the waiters and waitresses welcome you with warm smiles and friendly faces.

The atmosphere of the diner is very homey—nothing fancy, but the space has a wholesome and soulfully filling vibe. The food portions are generous and well-matched to the prices. The quality is consistently great, which is one of the many reasons my family and I come back here often.

It can get very busy, especially on Sundays, and you might find yourself waiting for a table. However, the wait usually goes by quickly, and you’ll be seated soon enough. The parking lot is spacious, though it can get packed on Sundays. If the free parking is full, there is street parking a block or two away, but it’s metered.

Overall, I highly recommend Jimmy’s Eastside Diner. Quality food, quality service, and a welcoming atmosphere—it’s a place you’ll surely want to return to again and again.

Jimmy’s Eastside Diner is a true gem in the heart of Historic Bayside — a staple of the neighborhood that feels like home.

As a Northeast girl, I’ve got a deep love for that classic diner vibe: the kind where the coffee’s always hot, the fries hit the spot, and the service feels like family. Jimmy’s delivers all that and more. The energy is warm, welcoming, and real — no frills, just great food and a community staple that’s been holding it down for years.

Whether you’re craving pancakes at noon or a late-morning burger with a side of nostalgia, this place never misses. It’s rare to find spots like this anymore — unfussy, dependable, and full of heart.

We’re lucky to have Jimmy’s in Historic Bayside. It’s not just a diner — it’s part of the neighborhood’s soul.
